Personal Statement

Hello my name is Charlotte. My whole life I have been very focused on becoming the greatest version of myself not only academically but on the soccer field as well. I started playing soccer from a young age and have only grown up to love the sport more and more and take it more seriously. While my aspirations on the field are very high, my mindset and goals in the classroom are just as competitive. I am looking for a college/university with great academics filled with diversity in its studies that also includes a great women's soccer program.

Atheltically I always push myself to get better every practice and every game. While pushing myself to be the best that I can, I also look to push teammates around me to push themselves as well by being a good role model and example by always giving 100% and more with a good and focused attitude while playing. On the field I play as a forward, using my speed and agility to push the ball forward and become a threat to score to the opposing team. I feel I would be a great asset to a school's soccer program because I like to balance having fun with working hard and getting better each day not only individually, but as a whole team.

I think another very unique thing about me as a soccer player is the fact that I am a identical twin. Being born with a twin is a wonderful gift and she has grown to become my best friend on and off the field. My sister and I are often complimented for our undeniable chemistry on the field, and the way we work together to bring up each other as well as our teammates.

Academically, I take my education very seriously. I work hard in the classroom, taking part in multiple honors classes and signing up for AP classes for the upcoming year. Whether it is an advanced or normal level class, I always strive to achieve the highest grade possible in school. When discussing my collegiate goals, I am very interested in Sports Medicine and fields of that sort. I am very interested in this field because I find it to be a great way to tie my athleticism into the classroom.

Overall I correlate my positive energy and motivation to become a better person and player, working hard to achieve my goals and dreams when looking forward.
