I have been playing soccer ever since I can remember. Soccer has not only changed my life physically but emotionally. I have learned that I am a very emotional person. I value and think about all of my decisions always questioning if it was the right one. I have been able to meet some of my best friends. My teammates and coaches have helped me to trust, be more confident, hardworking, resourceful, and simply have fun.
So far I feel I have grown as not only a player but as a person freshman year. A tough loss at the state quarterfinals was devastating for me but helped me learn more and grow. As a result of the loss, it only motivates me more to work harder and be better.
I have the opportunity to live with most of my teammates because I am at boarding school. I was able to see my teammates on and off the field allowing me to see a different side to them, a friend side. This made us all closer to a team allowing better communication and chemistry for the team. Most players don't experience a boarding school soccer team setting. I hope to carry the skills I've learned being a part of a boarding school soccer team and bring them to college to impact the team as much as I can. I also hope to meet new and great people through the process.
