Braislyn Syring '28 Recruiting Profile

My name is Braislyn Syring and I am class of 2028! I am currently in 8th grade attending Smithfield Middle School but am already taking 2 high school level courses (algebra 1 and Spanish 1) and I am a starter for the Smithfield High School Junior Varsity team this spring season. I always strive to excel both on and off the field which is why continuing my education while playing soccer is so important to me. I have been able to maintain being on the Honor Roll every year of my education to this point while playing sports year round, which is something I am very proud of. My goal for high school is to continue this trend and complete as many college courses while in high school as possible to set myself up for success down the road. 

I have been playing soccer since I was 4 and am currently playing with Smithfield Soccer Club's U15 team, Dynamite, where we compete at the National Premier League level with VPSL(Virginia Premier Soccer League). I am an offensive minded player but because of my speed and adaptability I primarily play midfield to be able to assist on the defensive side as well. Being quick thinking, knowing where my teammates are, and always trying my best to establish great positioning on the field is one of the main reasons I have been used as a forward and midfielder during a game to help other players when they need a break.
