Jessica Poole '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jessica Poole. I am currently a Junior at Sherando High School. I'm 5'4" and weigh 125lbs. I'm strong, fast and durable. I fell in love with soccer at a very early age and have been playing ever since. I have played and excelled in many other sports over the years (volleyball, softball, basketball, and track) but soccer has always been my passion. I've also played varsity highschool volleyball the past few years, and while I enjoy it and excel at it, I am a soccer player at heart.  

I have played every position on the field except for goal keeper, but most often I have played as an outside midfielder. I am predominantly left footed, although I am almost as skilled with my right. Right now in my highschool season, I am playing as a defensive marking back due to injuries on my team, and I have grown very fond of the position. With my speed, aggressiveness, and the defensive skill I've learned on my travel team over the past 4 seasons, I'm enjoying it alot. I've always been willing to play wherever I am needed for the good of the team. 

I made the varsity team at Sherando as a freshman and have been a starter and integral part of the team since joining. My coaches have always told me that beyond my physical ability, determination, and drive... what they like best is that I am a team player who is coachable. While my long term goals are to complete my undergraduate and masters degrees en route to becoming a Physicians Assistant.... its been a dream of mine to play soccer in college and I would absolutely love to continue my soccer career by hopefully adding value as both a player and a person to a collegiate program.
