I will be attending Carleton College.
Even though my experience with the sport over the past 11 years has had many moments of chaos, the main thing that kept me playing soccer is my love of the game. I love this sport- I play club soccer with Seattle Celtic and I am the varsity captain of my high school team, and I also get involved in my community. I volunteered with the Wildcats Top Soccer program in Seattle, a space where volunteers work as "buddies" with other children with physical and cognitive disabilities and help them play soccer. I also became a coach at Seattle Celtic in 2020. I coach young soccer players at the club where I have the privilege of playing, and this experience has been so fulfilling. There is not much that I cherish more than being able to be an example of a confident, female role model for the young girls I coach, and empowering them to continue to play sports. In college, I hope to continue my soccer career as well as continue my education in public health and behavioral/social sciences in order to effectively serve to my community.
