I am a dedicated student athlete who works to the best of my ability in both academics and athletics. I have been swimming competitively for 8 years now. I swim on the varsity team at Suffield High School, making it to the Connecticut Class S State Finals for the past three years. I am the captain of the high school swim team for the 2016-2017 season. I am a team player and help my fellow teammates with improving their stroke technique. I am also on the Farmington Valley YMCA Tsunamis, competing in both the YMCA and USA levels. I am very disciplined and work hard at my practices. Not only do I focus on my strength in the pool, I also focus on improving my dry land strength as well.
I believe that academics is important as well. I am enrolled in a plethora of honors and AP courses and have a 5.51 weighted GPA. Since I am accustomed to higher level academic courses, I will excel in college. I am a diligent student and a role model in the school. I am interested in majoring in psychology or criminology and am looking for a college that offers a superb psychology/criminology curriculum as well as a strong swim program.
