Marissa Yontz '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a junior and have been competitively swimming for ten years. I am currently swimming on my club YMCA team in Canton, Illinois and have been since I was six. I have been to the National Championship in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and have already qualified again for this coming April. My high school does not have a swim program, but I compete at high school conference and sectionals as an individual. My strong events are the 100 Butterfly, the 50 freestyle, and the 100 freestyle. I have a 4.0 and will take the ACT in December and again in the spring. I would love to swim in a college with high competition. I have always wanted to join a team that I would be an asset to, even if its not right at the beginning. Ideally, my preferred college choice would be in the Mid-West, but I am completely open to anywhere else as well. I would enjoy swimming at any level.
