Personal Statement
My name is Callahan Dunn and I have been swimming competitively for over ten years. I currently swim year round for Lyons Aquatics and Lyons Township High School where I am a Junior (class of 2020). From the very start I have had a strong passion and love for the sport.
I like to set my goals high and work hard to achieve them. I push myself individually in and out of the pool but attribute much of my success to my teammates and coaches who have impacted me along the way. I believe hard work is the biggest key to success.
I'm primarily an IM'er and freestyler. The IM has motivated me to excel in all four strokes which has given me the opportunity to compete in a variety of events, and positioned me well to contribute at the collegiate level, both in individual events and relays.
I am looking for a program that is a good fit, challenges me both athletically and academically, and has a good team dynamic. I am currently considering studying Occupational or Physical Therapy, and plan to be a successful student athlete.
