Personal Statement
I've been a club swimmer since 3rd grade and have swam on Anoka High School since 7th grade. I have placed in Section finals since ninth grade. I was very close to qualifying for HS State in 100 Breast (missing by just a tenth or two). Participated in MN HS State Meet in 2 relays in 2023, swimming 50 breast in the 200 Medley Relay and 50 free in the 200 Free Relay. Last year our High School team was True Team Section and Season Section Champions; this year's team was True Team Section Champions. I was voted Team Captain for the 2024 season by my peers this past November.
Academics are a large part of my life. My current weighted GPA is 4.19 with AP/Honors classes and my unweighted GPA is 4.0. I am currently exploring careers that relate to math, science, or engineering with a goal to down select to 2-3 in the coming months. Time management is always something I am working on, as I juggle academics, year-round athletics, and a part time job as a swim instructor (Lifetime Fitness). In my spare time I volunteer and participate in National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and religious events at Church and in High School club.
I am looking for opportunities to swim on a Division 2, 3, or NAIA college/University for continued athletics and academics. Please reach out if you are interested and we can talk!
