I have been swimming competitively since I was 10 years old. I have always loved being in the water. One of my biggest dreams when I was little was making it to the Olympics and I still haven't given up on it yet. At 13 I switched to one of the top teams in the country because I knew that one of the ways to reach my goal times was to work harder then I ever had before and that I needed to be challenged. On my club team I have made many friends and two years later I am proud to look back at all the time I spent in the pool training to drop time. I generally swim the 500, 1000, 1650 free, and the 200 fly but I can also swim the 100 free, 200 free, 100 fly, 400 IM and 100 back. My training consists of 8-9 practices a week, which include distance lane practices. My academics are very important to me because I want to be able to stand up and change the world, and the way to do that is to further my education and learn whatever I can. In college I want to work hard in the pool and in the classroom to reach my goals.
