My name is Hope Valent and I have been swimming since I was 8. Ever since I was little I have always thought about swimming in college. Now that the time is here, I could not be more excited to start my recruiting process. I would be a good candidate for your team because I am dedicated to this sport. I show up every day to my practices and drylands eager to be coached and I am ready to work hard. I enjoy the chances I have to be in the water and work to apply the feedback and tips given to me by my coaches. For me, everyday is a chance to get better, faster, and stronger. When it comes to academics, I am very similar. I work hard in and out of school to be the best student I can be and maintain good grades in all of my classes.

- AwardsSwim Related Awards Most Improved: This award went to one girl and one boy in each group. It was given to the swimmer that showed the most improvement throughout the entire short course season. I received this award in 2017 Dryland Award(13-14): This award went to the swimmer that had the highest attendance in all the 13-14 age groups and showed the most effort and work in each dryland that they attended. I received this award in 2021. Most Valuable: This award is a combination of the other two awards given out by my team. The first which I have described earlier is the Most Improved award, the second is the Titans Award which is an award given to someone who is always positive and encouraging, and is a swimmer that you'd want to be with at a meet. After working hard and having to change strokes mid season, I saw huge results and received this award in 2024.
