Personal Statement
I have been swimming ever since I can remember. It's always been something that has been ingrained into my life. I started competitively swimming when I was twelve years old. Even though I got into the competitive world late, that's never stopped me from striving to be the best I can be. I work hard every day in practice to push myself to become stronger and faster. While I love the individuality of swimming and being able to focus on personal growth, I love encouraging my teammates in practice and relays to also perform the best they can. When it comes to all or nothing pressure, I don't disappoint.
Academics are very important to me as well. I push myself to take advanced math and science classes with the International Baccalaureate program, while maintaining a high GPA.
In college I plan to major in biology as well as following a pre-med track/program. After college, I plan to attend medical school. While in college I would love to swim competitively for a school that provides the highest level of competition possible for me. I am open to any options that push myself to be the best athletically and academically. Above all I want my parents to be proud of who I become.
