Hazel Clark '25 Recruiting Profile

I fell in love with the sport of swimming very young, and that feeling has never really changed. I am a water baby through and through. My love for swimming started out following my brother through a summer swimming program in Bedford, Halifax in the summer of 2013, and from then on I've always been in the sport. I swam under my mother, as the head coach of a winter swimming program for just under 10 years before moving to a more prominent country where I live, and train today. I've been a junior coach for multiple years, and I am always open to helping my current team with their junior athletes. It's something that I am very passionate about, and passing my swimming knowledge to the next generation. recently, the sport of swimming has been surrounded by the next possible time standard, and it has been drilled into my head that swimming for points and placing in events, means nothing. For this exact reason I am over the moon exited to swim in university, and have my efforts really count towards a bigger picture. I love to pride myself in my consistency and know that day after day I can line up on the blocks look to the left, and to the right, and say, I don't give a hoot about Pb's, I'm beating you today.
