Personal Statement

I pride myself on being calm, composed and patient on the ice and a goaltender who is rarely caught out of position. I make the hard saves look just as simple as the easy ones, as I play my angles very well and have been told by my goalie coaches that I'm technically sound.  I am very competitive; and I compete as hard in practice as I do in games.  I have always tried to play big, and now that I have grown to my current height I'm able to use that in a structured way to take away chances in tight. Playing as calm and focused as I can be on the ice helps my teammates to do the same. I love the big games against top opponents and believe that’s when I’m at my best.  I also try to set an example by consistently working hard on and off the ice, day in and day out.

Hockey Aspirations: My goal is to complete my firstl season of junior hockey, the 2023/24 season, in the KIJHL on a high note, return to Notre Dame in the Spring to complete my grade 12 and graduate after the season is over, and then to develop further and prepare myself for college hockey by playing another season of Junior A.  Following two or three years at the junior level, my goal is to play NCAA Division 1 and then, ultimately, play with and against the best in the world at the professional level.
