Hello, I am Alex Bumpas and I attend Wakeland High School and swim for Texas Ford Aquatics. I am very committed to both my performance at school and in the pool. I have aspirations to swim for a college that I can be a contributor both in swimming and academic excellence.
I have been a member of Texas Ford Aquatics for 8 years and achieved my personal goals of Futures / Junior National cuts before my Sophomore year. I was a member of the Wakeland varsity swim team during my freshman and sophomore years and was selected as MVP.
I just completed 10th grade which included 3 pre-AP classes and 2 AP classes. During my sophomore year I was also able to be accomplish:
- A 5.25 GPA
- Induction to the National Honor Society
- Selected as a USA Swimming Scholastic All American
- Achieved 2nd & 3rd place at 5A All State Meet - 100 free / 50 free
- 4 time First Team All State during my Freshman and Sophomore years
- Achieved NISCA All American
- Continue to coach the local Special Olympics Swim Team to help the swimmers reach their potential
- Achieved Summer Junior National qualifying times
