I love what I do and I am dedicated to everything I do. I started taking swim seriously my freshman year of high school. I didn't make the team my freshman year, so I joined a club team and spent all of that year getting faster and better. When sophomore year came around, I made the team and loved every second of it. I had to have a necessary back surgery in November of my sophomore year. It took me out of the water until February and I wasn't able to do anything athletic during that time. I spent that time while I was out of the water to get to know my teammates and build friendships. I would go to swim meets even though I wasn't competing to support my team and show my teammates that even though I wasn't swimming, I could still be part of the team in my own way. I took that summer to recover and get faster. I am now Jr. Capitan on my team and have been dropping time at almost every meet.
