Nora David '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Nora David and I am a sophomore at Mountain View High School in Stafford, VA. I began swimming on my neighborhood's summer swim team at the age of four. I was immediately drawn to swimming and joined the year-round, Stafford Aquatics Team when I was seven. When I entered high school, I joined my high school's swim team, where I helped Mountain View to 1st place at the 5A district championships. I was also Most Valued Player of my high school team my freshman year and have earned two varsity letters. On my club team, I have qualified for the Virginia State Championships every year since 2019 and the Age Group National Championships since 2021. Outside of the water, I continue to work hard in the classroom by taking honors, AP, and IB classes. When I wasn't feeling challenged in high school, I looked elsewhere and enrolled in Oregon State University as a non-degree student to gain extra credits for college. I also started Germanna Community College's dual-enrollment program in hopes of graduating high school with my Associate's degree! I am a part of the Math, English, and Spanish Honor Societies and I have a GPA of 4.6. Other than academics, I enjoy other sports, such as Muay Thai, Jiujitsu, and field hockey and I play the violin. I also volunteer at Old Dominion Humane Society's Animal Shelter and at Margaret Brent Elementary School in their Bobcat Buddies mentoring program. I have worked as a lifeguard and as a coach on my summer swim team. I enjoy being busy and challenging myself, so I am very interested in taking the next step of my swimming career by competing at the collegiate level!
