As an 8 year old girl, I had no idea what I wanted to do in the future. I still had 10 years ahead of me to figure that out. Any sport or activity I saw, I immediately wanted to try it. After placing 1st place in mini javelin and Shot put in many Track meets, and placing 7th in the 2012 Junior Olympics, I stopped throwing and focused on playing Football, Basketball, Baseball. When I started Middle School in 2015, I picked up Shot put again. I entered high school and I was in the marching band therefore I took a break from throwing. Entering Sophomore year, I tried out for the Throws team and started practicing. I made new friendships and learned a lot from my team. Now in my junior year of high school, I have been practicing and anxiously waiting for the season to start. In the classroom, I am always trying my best no matter the walls I hit, I always find my way to get back up and continue pushing. Outside the classroom, I am in a non profit youth organization called the Young Marines. Having been in the program for the past four years, I have been able to develop the core values of Leadership, Teamwork, and Discipline. Looking out for others before my own. I believe that my willingness to never give up and help others push past their limits will be an asset to any team on the collegiate level.
