I have been running for a very long time, and I remember doing Kid's Road Races when I was six and seven years old. I picked up running again in fifth grade, when I joined a citywide team, and have been running track ever since. In the summer going into seventh grade, August of 2012, I went to Junior Olympics, where I discovered that I did well in competitive situations. I have also been to High School Nationals six times-once for every high school season of track and field. I have broken many records on my high school team, including the 800 for both indoor and outdoors, the 600, and have been a part of record-breaking relays, such as the 4x800, DMR, short SMR, and long SMR.
I work very hard and am an internal competitor- I am always trying to better myself and treat workouts in practices like meets. I strive to achieve personal bests in my events and have goals of reaching-or breaking- 2:10 in the open 800 by college, reaching 1:34 in the 600 and breaking 57 seconds in the open 400. Finally, I love being on a team and am a part of the varsity soccer team in the fall, before indoor and outdoor track begin.
