When I was a freshman, I tried outdoor track because of my coach. He saw that I had good potential, strong for my size, and he seen that whatever sport that I do I’m committed to finish and go all out. Unfortunately, I had to take my sophomore year off due to medical issues but when my junior came, I most definitely wanted show my come back. I did all of this because not only because I’m good at field events, I did all of this because I fell in love with it.
What makes me a good candidate is my team work. I say that because without it how are we, as a team, going to move forward and do better. I like to push my teammates to their best potential because I want them to feel like they’ve accomplished something out of it. Some people of the team is doing sports to lose weight. Ok, that’s fine and I will be right there to push you. That’s the type of teammate I am and grown to be.
Im a good candidate academically wise because when it comes to my classes and my grades, I don’t play. I’m like that because not a lot of my family members finished school or went to college. I could follow along with that but is that the smartest choice, no not at all. I want to go to college. I want to do sports. I want to be successful all in the right ways. As long as I have a good, straight forward mindset then nothing could ruin that.
