As a track athlete, my goals are very important to me. When I run, I strive to break my personal record and to do better than my last race. It is critical that I continue to improve since improvement indicates progress. My main ambition is to break my school's record, I believe I have the ability to do so. I also believe that if I put in the work I can achieve anything. I feel that track contributes to the person I am today. Track helps improve both my physical and mental health. What makes me a strong candidate for a college track team is that I constantly urge others to accomplish their best. People sometimes need to be pushed to their limits, and I urge them to do so. Some of my good qualities consist of being a hard worker, self-motivated, kind, loyal, and committed. These qualities are present not only in track and field but in my academics as well. My academics in school are just as crucial as my track performance. My schooling comes first, and I make it a point to obtain A's in class through hard effort and leadership. Nonetheless, track helps me develop these academic abilities. I am able to balance my time spent on schoolwork with my time spent running on the track. Track & Field has significantly influenced my life in ways that make me happy.
