Andreea Alexandru '20 Recruiting Profile

I have been running competitive track and field for the last 3 years. Each year I have pushed myself to become a better athlete and team player. There have been many times where I have tripled in order to help my relay team reach the podium.  Although my split was 10 seconds faster then my next teammate, I wanted to help them out and eventually we earned a State Championship title and place among the top in our region.  Not only am I a team player, but after I won the State title with my relay team, I went on and was recognized as an All-State runner in my individual events. I have been able to use running to discover who I really am.  Throughout my years in high school, I have been faced with inconsistencies in my coaching staff, but I have found ways to persevere and still preform better from year to year. This year alone, I have broken 7 school records. Each season I find myself running at a higher level and I am ready for the next step. I am not someone who gives up and I have definitely developed a love for this sport. Running has become my passion and I can't wait to see where it takes me next.
