Personal Statement
Hello! My name is Soraya Penix and I am a senior at Carmel High School in Carmel, Indiana. I recently completed my first season of Cross COuntry and am looking forward to my second season of Track and Field this coming spring. Although I am new to the sport of running, I know that my history playing lacrosse as well as my passion for running 5k and half marathon road races has greatly attributed to my desire to continue to grow through running in college. I believe that my improvement in 5k times as well as consistent academic success in the classroom each demonstrate my coachability and strong work ethic, and I hope you will consider me for your team!
