Makayla Vaughns '19 Recruiting Profile

My goals for college are to have an opportunity to throw for a college track team while pursuing a degree in English, which will help to prepare myself for pre-law school. I want to be a defense attorney in my near future. I have been throwing since the 9th grade. I love throwing and being a part of a team. This is my third year throwing and my times have been improving. What sets me apart from other candidates is that I'm always striving to be better. I have attended thrower camps to help perfect my throwing technique as I work on being an explosive thrower. I believe there is always room for growth. I also believe that for a team to succeed, the individual members have to succeed as well. I love helping others reach their goals, whether it's helping the freshmen work on their throwing techniques, stands or foot positioning skills. I also volunteer my time to help my little brother’s basketball team.

I am looking for a College that has an invigorating atmosphere and rigorous academic standards, which will advance my interest as I work toward pursuing my Law Degree.
