I will start off by saying that I work hard at everything I do, whether that is sports, music, academics, etc;. Whatever I do I give 150% effort. That it what I am good giving all my effort no matter what. I find that even if I am not the best at something that just motivates me to be better. By not being number 1 all the time I have something to work towards and that what matters to me. I am a firm believer in giving everything you maximum effort, and even if that effort doesn't necessarily result in winning, I think it more important to know that you gave it your all than to win. I would much rather PR every race than win every time and become complacent in the #1 spot. That is why I enjoy sports so much, because they have prepared me for everyday life. I know that I will succeed in my goal to become a doctor because athletics have conditioned me to never give up even when something is painful. I have learned the same lesson when it comes to academics. I know that even if I don't receive the A, like I wanted to, that doesn't mean that my work wasn't good,it just means that I have more improvements to make. I believe that life is all about being willing to do the work to make improvements each and everyday!
