Hi, my name is McKenna Lay. I am a junior at Pacific High School in Pacific, MO. I started out my athletic career through club Softball at a young age and transferred my attention to competitive Track and Field going into my Freshman year. I started throwing in 7th grade on the middle school track team and started competing competitively soon after. I work hard year round, from the weight room to the rings.
Throwing has taught me the value of time management and hard work, and has shaped me into the person I am today. I have entered myself into many high school activities to stay involved, and have become a very hard worker due to the high involvement I have in extra curriculars such as my own embroidery business: PALM Tees. My goal in everything I do is to lead by example, and to make my friends and family proud.
I am striving to compete at the highest level of competition possible, while attending a college that will push me to be the best version of myself. I will always aim to be better today than I was yesterday, and my goal is to find coaches and teammates that will all push each other to do the same.
In the classroom, I work as hard as I can to maintain the highest grades I can possibly receive, and I always try to push my classmates to be the best students they can be as well. I am always open to help to anyone in need, in the classroom and on the track.
