Katelyn Langford '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi Coaches, I'm Kate and I am really passionate about track and field! I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to pursue college athletics and I am so excited to connect with you as I continue on my recruiting journey. As a captain, I am a member of our leadership squad on my high school team and it has been a formative experience for me. Being able to mentor younger athletes while developing myself as an athlete has given me a new perspective on my sport. Track has contributed to my passions in academics too. I am interested in biochem, biology, physical therapy and other STEM fields because of track. Learning about what is happening in our bodies as we run is so interesting to me and part of the reason I love it so much! Outside of track I am involved in a wide variety of activities. I'm involved in our theater program as a member of one-act and musical; as well as our art department as a painting 4 student, student senate, cross country, and other activities. I am also super involved in my church and am employed year round at Camp Rivercrest in Fremont, NE. (All of this of course along with lifting, hurdling, and speed training for track) I believe being this involved has given me a unique skill set to continue as a collegiate athlete.
