I have been running track, specifically hurdles, since 7th grade. Both my parents are runners and I have been an athlete my whole life. I started out in soccer but as soon as I ran track I transitioned and fully committed to track. I was involved in karate for six years enabling me to have muscle control and body awareness heightening my hurdle abilities. In 8th grade I began my cross country allowing me to develop endurance and a persistence in my training. I understand where I am athletically and I know I can become better and reach my full potential with the right coaching. I am a person who is focus, kind, and dedicated. I am able to focus on school and strive academically while simultaneously training with dedication and love for my sport to become the best athlete I can be.
