Personal Statement
I am a 5'1 student athlete for track and field and Cross Country from Maspeth High School, NY. I weigh 110lbs and I do long, mid, and short distant events when competing. I have 90.7/100 GPA (my school doesn't translate this stuff for me sorry) and I will graduate high school in 2021.
I started running with young runners in 6th grade and stayed the team for the rest of the year. I continued running as a hobby for my anxiety. I made the cross country team as a freshman and made the top 15. As a freshman I made top 15 in the varsity race which soon was coming to top 5. I got accepted into the indoor and outdoor seasons with similar results. In cross country in my sophomore year, I made 1st place running 3 miles in 23 minutes. I usually lead stretches and warmups, and I am also the last person to leave practice to help my coach with any he/she needs before I change for the day. I am very determined person. Doing whatever it takes to push myself to the maximum. My goal is to be the best I can be and to see how far I can go. It would be great to be somewhat close to home cause my family means the world to me.
I am very open minded when it comes to what type of collage I want when it comes to size. It would be great to be somewhat close to home cause my family means the world to me. To get a scholarship for athletics and academics would be great as well. I plan to study pharmacy as my major but also to minor in music because I am also a vocalist and very passionate for music. I am also a Girl Scout and I have been one for 13 years.
