May 2014Personal Statement
Even at a young age people could tell I was fast. I was always racing around like a little ball of energy. It was no doubt that in seventh grade I would do track and I knew from the beginning I had something special for it. It has become who I am and what I live for and I hope to compete at the collegiate level. First thing that will come to your mind when you see me is " Wow, she's so short and little. There's no way she can be fast." That's when I come in and prove it wrong. I am very aggressive and strive for greatness not only in track, but academically and as a person.
I am involved in National Honors Society, Student Leadership, Freshmen mentor, and SADD. I am currently taking post-secondary classes through The University of Akron and also Honors classes at my high school. I maintain high grades and am very competitive in and out of school.
