I push to achieve my goals. Every practice i work has hard as I can because I know hard work is the key to achievement. My aspiration to first join track back in my eight grade year was my brother. He always told me that I was fast and that I could accomplish many things in this sport. I took his word and tried track and field. As soon as I stepped on the track I fell in love. This was the sport for me. I started off on hurdles. I was decent at them but they just weren't for me. I later starting sprinting, were I belonged. The first meet I ever competed in I got first in the 200m dash. I loved that race and still do today. I am always open to trying new events too! I thank my brother so much for getting me into track. I always loved training and competing with him.
What makes me a good candidate for your team? I am always working hard and pushing myself to be better. I believe that if I never give up and work as hard as I can, I will achieve all my goals. I always respect all my coaches, therefore I know they believe in me and take time out of their day to help me achieve. Ever since my sophomore year I was the oldest girl sprinter on my team. I always tried to take all the under classmen under my wing. I know how scary it is to come onto a varsity sports for the first time as a freshman. So I try to help them out and answer any questions they have.
