Personal Statement

As a dual sport athlete I have learned a lot about myself through Volleyball and Track and Field. Each sport has taught me many lessons that have helped me not only on the track, or the court, but also valuable experiences in life lessons.  Unlike Volleyball, Track is an "individual" team sport and most times, I'm simultaneously competing with and against my teammates.

The motto for my high school volleyball team is "Earned not Given" and I couldn't agree more. I'm proud to say I earned title at Weiss High School as "Captain" this spring's 2023 Track season of my Junior year and for my Freshman year, 2021 and helped my team make it to 5A Regional Qualifier in 4x400m relay.

I have worked hard to achieve balance between my academics and extra curricular activities in order to be successful in both.

My parents have been my biggest FANS and with their support, I learned very early at the age of 5, when life throws me a curve...I RUN IT!! It's the only way to “level the playing field”.  As a 3 time AAU Junior Olympian, I will bring hard work, determination, motivation and positive vibes to whatever college I attend.
