I first fell in love with running competitively in Junior High, and even now, coming to the end of my high school career it's no different. I have developed into a very competitive state qualifying runner for division 1A in the state of Texas, as I have competed at the State Cross Country Meet and State Track Meet for 3 years in a row. My freshman year I won the cross country meet and got a silver in the 3200m. My sophomore year in Cross Country I placed 3rd overall and 3 gold medals and 2 conference records at the State Meet. This past year I placed 2nd at the State Cross Country Meet and qualified for State in 2 events, but due to my first serious injury which hindered me my whole season I was not able to place, but both my records from the previous year still stand.
I am a hard worker and it shows in my grades and athletic performances. So far throughout my high school career I have maintained a 95 grade average; I am a 2 time running BETA president, which is a honor club, and a 4 year officer for FCCLA, a community outreach and leadership organization. I take my faith and academics very seriously and I would like to go to college to get my Doctorate in Pharmacy, along with pursuing my dreams to run on a competitive collegiate team. I love running with other people that enjoy the sport I do, and more so I love running for God, and even though I am very competitive I really enjoy watching other people succeed and reach their goals and be able to interact with people that I share a common interest with.
