Madison Howe '20 Recruiting Profile

I became interested in running long distance during 4th grade.  Our family would do monthly 5k fun runs and I got hooked.  I ran my first 10k in 6th grade and 15k in 8th grade.  

I love distance running with challenging courses.  I'm lucky to have a school, which has a course right on campus.  Our school puts on The Hole in the Wall, which this year we will welcome over 100 teams (over 3,800 athletes).  It is challenging and exciting to run against some of the best from our state and traveling states.   

Besides running year around, I enjoy singing, cooking, sign language and spending time with my family.  I sing in our schools Jazz Choir, Swingbeat.  We travel the state and go to Disneyland yearly to perform on stage.  I became intrigued with ASL about a year ago and started learning how to sign.  I am currently taking ASL at school.  I enjoy helping my mom cook meals, my favorite is baking though.  It lets me be creative and my twin brothers enjoy eating my creations.  My family is important to me, they have always been there to support and cheer for me.
