I have loved the game of volleyball ever since I played YMCA league at the age of 10.  I am 17 now and that passion for the sport has only grown.  I have always wanted to make something out of myself and getting a scholarship is one of my goals to achieve in life.  My father, Chet Stewart, played basketball for Faulkner University and has always pushed me to be the best person/student/player possible.  Volleyball has taught me about the importance of team work and self-discipline.  You have to work as a team to have success on the court and you have to be willing to put in the extra time to work on your craft.  My technique is something I take a lot of pride in and I push myself to get it perfect.  I plan on improving my ACT score to a 25 and finishing high school with a 3.9 GPA.  While I might not be the most vocal player on the floor,  I definitely lead by example.  I put in the extra work and I am diving all over the floor for my team during both practice and games.  Also,  I am in the weight room 4 to 5 nights a week working on my strength and agility.  At times I take private lessons throughout the season to improve my skill especially if I sense my technique needs some adjustments.  Lastly, I am a great teammate and would love an opportunity to dedicate myself to your volleyball program.  Thank you for looking at my page!
