My name is Jaiden Binning, and I am a 2023 Women’s Volleyball Player located in British Columbia, Canada. I have been a middle hitter for about 4 years, as well as an outside hitter for this current school year. My height is 5ft 11in and I am a quick, agile player who can contribute to fast plays and keep up with intense game play. I play for Seaside Volleyball club, which is a travel team, and we are currently ranked second in the province and first in Nationals 2022 Div 1. All aspects of volleyball are critical to me, from putting up a solid block to quick attacks using angles. I am team captain of both my school and club team and was just recently named Tournament All-star MVP in the Trinity Western University Tournament and MVP for Earl Marriott Secondary School Senior Girls Volleyball.
Academic performance is just as important as athletic performances, hence why I am committed to school and volleyball. I maintain a 3.7 GPA while playing school and club volleyball, and even competitive school basketball. Commitment is utmost important to me, I train and track individual progress to become the best version of a player I can be. I am considered a multi-sport athlete, as I have played competitive club basketball though out the years, travelling to the United States to compete with advanced teams. Besides playing volleyball (4 years), I’ve also played soccer (3 years), swimming (3 years) and basketball (7 years). I am taking all academic classes, including all of the sciences and maths (biology, chemistry, physics, and pre calculus), while applying academically to universities. Determination and Discipline are grand factors in my personal life, on and off the court. I’ve learned that working hard will gurantee results, which is the reason why I consider myself a “go-getter”!
