Ella Rael '24 Recruiting Profile

Something I pride myself on and that makes me special on the court is my determination and unwavering spirit/attitude. I have been playing for 3 years and have completed five competitive season in total. Throughout these 3 years I have learned how to work hard, focus, and be disciplined on and off the court. I have experience playing Libero/DS, which can be challenging at times but I have learned to push past mistakes and move forward with the help of my teammates, coaches, and my own mindset. I am very positive and try my absolute best to make a cheerful environment on and off the court.

I found my love for volleyball my freshman year when I tried out for my high school team. Most of my teammates had been playing volleyball for years and I found it very intimidating, but it also fueled my drive to train harder. I went back my sophomore year more confident and ready to work even harder. After a successful sophomore season I decided I wanted to be on a club team for my 16s season. The Edge offered me a spot to play up on a 17s team and it gave me an opportunity to become more experienced. After playing a year of club I made varsity for my high school. This proved to be a challenge for me but in the end it made me an even better player. I have been doing private lessons, weight training, college camps, and skills camps to better my skills on the court. I am looking forward to becoming the best athlete and leader I can be on and off the court.
