Hi Coaches! Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I have been an athlete for as long as I can remember and playing volleyball has always been my passion. Playing volleyball in college would be a dream come true. This season on my high school team I received the Cougar award which displayed my hard work and commitment to the team. I have played indoor volleyball for most of my life but I also have 1 year of experience playing beach volleyball through Aspire. Throughout my experiences as a volleyball player, I have learned to take care of my body, be a good teammate, and manage my schoolwork while playing volleyball year-round. I have worked hard to improve my vertical, strength, and speed by attending D1 performance training with In-House fitness. I also take private lessons with a former All-American player who is now a coach. I am driven to improve physically at every practice and game while also creating great relationships with my teammates. I would like to attend a Christian-based school to play at the next level because continuing to build my relationship with God is my main goal. Thank you again and I am looking forward to learning more about your program!

To: Whom It May Concern,
REF: CHARACTER RECOMMENDATION LETTER FOR MACKENZIE FRANCIS
It is my pleasure to write a character reference for Mackenzie Francis for your volleyball program. I had the privilege of first meeting Mackenzie at try outs for my club volleyball team in 2021. During the time that I have known Mackenzie, she has proved repeatedly to be a remarkable student, player, and most importantly human. Makenzie is motivated, disciplined, hardworking, willing to learn and grow, and fosters relationships with her fellow teammates and coaches. Mackenzie deserves an opportunity to play volleyball beyond her high school season and I highly recommend her to every college program.
Makenzie has always put her studies first and goes above and beyond to be successful in whatever she puts her mind to. In the time that I have known Mackenzie, she has always been determined and committed to her schoolwork, her team/family, and her extracurricular activities. Mackenzie is one of the brightest and studious students I know. Mackenzie is not afraid to put in the work and is never discouraged by challenges. She is one of the most coachable, team players I have and is willing to put in the extra work outside of practice to help her improve her game and to make her team better. She is very court smart and really understands the game of volleyball.
Mackenzie is an excellent student/volleyball player, enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate about learning and growing. She is always fully engaged and takes the initiative to participate and further her learning for better understanding of the skills and concepts. She constantly exhibits remarkable thinking aptitudes and intellectual inquisitiveness which surpasses that of her fellow peers. She has a strong work ethic in everything she does, which is reflected in her performance. Mackenzie is comfortable and confident in tackling difficult situations while willing to make the changes needed to succeed.
Something I found to be Mackenzie’s most important asset is that she makes the most of her outgoing optimistic attitude to interact efficiently with her classmates and teammates. Mackenzie is a positive role model, and she is persistently offering additional support to others whenever they need the support and/or encouragement. Her heart is so pure and empathetic, and she genuinely cares and puts others above herself and knows when a teammate/coach needs a kind caring word or hug.
Mackenzie expressed to me her desire to continue her volleyball career and I am honored she asked me to write her a letter of recommendation as I feel she would be a tremendous asset to your esteemed organization. Mackenzie’s intelligence, personality, and character is such that it makes her an obvious choice to join your program. This opportunity will benefit her by challenging her to become a better player and a lifelong learner. Should you have any questions regarding this reference letter or Mackenzie, please feel free to contact me at (970) 904-0257.
Sincerely,
Kristi Margison
