Dear volleyball coaching team:

My name is Symantha Lewis, I am a motivated senior at Fayette County High School in Fayette County, Georgia. A future honors graduate of the class of 2024, GPA of 3.7. My collegiate goals and aspirations is to become an outstanding engineer at your university. Thank you for consistently providing accessible and affordable education to students. I am confident that you place students at the forefront of academic and sports success. I am excited and welcome the opportunity to study and play volleyball for your college/university.

My passion for academics and volleyball has been steadily growing over the years. School or club season since elementary school, National BETA Club award and member, Future Business Leaders of America award, Parliamentarian award, National Society of High School Scholars, School Ambassador, Sunday School leader, All County Team, All Region Honorable Mention and Middle Blocker-Dynamic Duo Award, voted by teammates, the best all-around player defensive specialist. Little Big South volleyball championship game medal, Atlanta Elite Volleyball University championship game medal. Most Inspirational Award-Berry College GRIT volleyball camp 2023. Exacto summer camp 2023, Jacksonville, Florida and Daniels Island, South scoring high with college training camps.

Defense - Aggressive as a defender. Good read on the attack and defensive positioning, and seems to enjoy making the play. Tactical Abilities - 92 / 100 Communication - Great communicator; organizes and directs teammates well and communicates frequently. Scrimmage Play - Play was elevated in team activities. Great understanding of your roles and responsibilities within a team. Physical Abilities - 92 / 100 Explosiveness - Great quickness and explosiveness, especially in the first step or two. This will be an asset in all aspects of the game Strength - Did a good job handling challenges and showed power in attacks/serves/setting/defensive positions. Confidence - Great confidence, didn’t shy away when challenged at camp and played with a sense of urgency. Coach's Comments Symantha brings a high level of energy to the court and it is infectious! You can see her love of volleyball and really feel her competitive spirit. She is a very vocal player on the court and it really helped her make a connection with her setters. Movement Speed overall - Work on speeding up your transition off the net. Getting off the net quickly will give more time to tempo your approach properly. Also when moving towards your setter to begin your approach, try to get there more quickly so you are better prepared to approach and attack Keep that energy level up always - I was very impressed with how much energy you brought to the court. Your team will rally around that energy and it will inspire them! That could make the difference when the game gets tight Keep working on explosive movements - Becoming more explosive with your movements will also increase your speed overall.
