My name is Jasmine Fonoti, and I am from Waianae, Hi. I am the youngest child of 6 and currently a senior at Waianae High School. Being the youngest sibling I have learned a lot about discipline, respect, and the importance of education. Being a student-athlete, I have grown to know that history books come before play books, that my homework comes before my jersey, and that Volleyball is still a privilege and the way to play is through my grades. I apply myself to my homework the same way that I would apply myself to the game, by being a "sponge", taking all the information, lessons, and practices that I go through and ending each task or game feeling like a stronger player or a stronger student. My parents have molded me into being the strong, respectful, and independent person that I am today and I only wish to fulfill the dream of going to college and playing at the next level, as well as having my family there to watch and support. Working hard on as well as off the court is something that I value because how one person represents themselves on the court shows who they are off the court.
