Personal Statement

Hi! My name is Mia Carr, I am 16 years old, and am in the class of 2026. I am the captain and Libero for Riptide Volleyball and am jersey #26. I am 5’1 and go to Post Falls High School with a 4.2 GPA!

I started playing competitive volleyball in 5th grade and played up at a U12’s level. I made our 8th grade school volleyball team in 7th grade, and was a starter as a front row setter and a D.S. on our team. I was able to run and lead the offensive line as a setter and become a scrappy player in the back row. This season (2022-2023) I transitioned to play Libero for my JV school team and club team Riptide Volleyball.  I am a hardworking, coachable, consistent player, and have had the amazing opportunity to work with Casey Schoenlein and Haylie Bennett at an All American Volleyball Camp at Post Falls High School. I was coached by Casey Cornett, a former D1 coach, for my JV school season in 2022, and Amy Robertson, in 2023, a former D1 beach volleyball player as well as a walk-on indoor player at Boise State University! My phenomenal club coach, Nicole Luckey was a former D1 athlete at Chicago State University as a Libero while my assistant coach, Luke Lewis, played D1 volleyball as a Setter at Fresno State. These coaches continue to push me to grow and become my best, while teaching me to be the best leader and version of myself that I can be! I have been voted captain for every team that I’ve been on because of my leadership skills, work ethic, positive encouraging attitude, and knowledge of the game!

Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile!

      -Mia Carr

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
