Personal Statement
Hi! My name is Abby Kallis. I am currently playing college volleyball at Lake Land College in Mattoon, Illinois. It has always been my dream to play college volleyball. I was blessed with this opportunity for the last two years, but unfortunately going to a community college, my time here has come to an end. As this year has gone by, I have decided I am not ready to give up my dream of college volleyball. It is my new dream to continue playing college volleyball for the rest of my academic journey. I truly love the sport of volleyball, which makes my dedication and drive flourish. I’m often the first and last person, in and out of the gym. I graduated from Charleston High-School in 2020. In Spring 2021, I played as a starting setter, my freshman year of college. This season (Fall 2021), I started to excell at Defensive Specialist. I played as this for the 2021 season. I have to come to love this position and my dream would to play for a college coach who will guide me to be the best student-athlete I can possibly be. I am studying Pre-Medicene and will be graduating with an associates in Science, in May of 2022. I would love the opportunity to continue to do what I love!
