Avery Beals '26 Recruiting Profile

I’ve been playing travel softball for the Charleston Chill since I was seven. At that age, there's no way I ever could've known how much softball would come to mean to me. Throughout my years playing, my love for the game and appreciation for the experiences it has provided me have only grown. I've learned the balance of hard work without forgetting to have fun just playing the game. For me, there’s an indescribable feeling for being on the field. Whether at practice or a game, I always want to be there, and I never want to be done. I have grown up with amazing coaching and great teammates. One of my main priorities is my relationship with my team, creating an environment that’s really just a second family.

The main way I help my team offensively is by scoring. As a leadoff hitter, every time I’m up to bat, my goal is to get on base so I can work my way back around to home. My parents have played a big role throughout my whole career. I was raised with standards of working hard and being a leader, whether that be on the field or in the classroom. I've challenged myself by taking honors English and math classes. My grades are a top priority, and I’ve found the balance of being a multi-sport athlete while earning straight A's in all of my classes. I’ve watched girls playing at the collegiate level on tv, and even in person at the Women’s College World Series. This has given me a long-term goal to play in college. I would love the opportunity to play at the next level, while getting the education to set me up for a successful career.
