Hi! My name is Brianna Van Dyke, and I am a junior at Conant High School. I started my volleyball career in 8th grade, playing park district volleyball, and have been in love with the sport ever since. I went on to play all three years of high school so far, as well as two years of club at Pipeline volleyball club. While my career has been relatively short, it has allowed me to realize how much I love a good competition. Being on the volleyball court brings out my outgoing and flexible personality, which has helped me to be a leader both on the court and in the academic setting.
Academically, my goal is to graduate high school with honors and to be as involved as possible. As for college, my goal is to work in a high school setting as either a teacher or a school counselor. Therefore, I would like to major in either education or psychology. This will ultimately help me pursue my dream of coaching volleyball at the high school level.
Playing volleyball at the college level is important to me because I am constantly looking for ways to challenge and improve myself! Since I started playing, volleyball has always been my favorite way to exercise, both physically and mentally. I love the mental aspect of the game, because I also apply it to everyday life. Make a mistake? Pick yourself up, learn from it and improve from it!
