I started playing volleyball when I was in third grade and never stopped. While I played other sports, soccer and basketball, there was nothing like the feeling I had when I played volleyball. I stared out setting for both club and school ball. During my club season one year I was asked to play as a libero so I played both positions and then started really enjoying and excelling as a libero. I love this position because it is face paced and I can still utilize my setting skills.
One of my best qualities on the court is my court awareness. Sometimes I surprise myself and am so grateful for this gift. I am very competitive and even though I know my team can't win every game, I play every game to win. I get along well with my teammates and coaches and am kind and supportive on and off the court. I will do what is asked of me as player and am not afraid of hard work. I enjoy volunteering with underprivileged youth and am an active volunteer in a backpack feeding program. I work in the human resources department at a local hospital.
I look forward to playing volleyball in college and contributing to the team's success,
