My parents always told me to be humble. But in order to tell you about myself, I guess a little bragging is necessary.
I am a natural athlete who has played multiple sports throughout my life. At the age of 9 I started playing softball as a pitcher and still play actively on a travel team. I played in high school as well until this year
when I decided to focus more time on volleyball. I also ran track and played basketball. I love team sports and volleyball in particular volleyball.
I have played volleyball competitively since 5th grade and have been
coached by many great coaches. My love of volleyball really grew when I played
for Stacey Ruff in 7th grade. Coach Ruff had experience coaching in high school and college and pushed me hard which fueled my desire to be the best volleyball player I could be. I started as an outside hitter but soon realized that even though I have great "hops", I just wasn't tall enough to play front row. After that I transitioned to DS as a sophomore and eventually starting Libero on my high school and club teams.
I am smart and understand the volleyball game. I am a quick learner and work very hard. I am very coachable and love being part of a team. I will do what is best for my team, even if that isn't always what is best for me.
Because of my love of sports, exercise and fitness, senior citizens and children I have decided the best way to put all those together is to become a physical therapist or PTA and that is what I hope to major in in college.
