Growing up I played multiple sports. I had thought that my future would lie with basketball, but I found myself focusing more on volleyball and developing my skills in that area. Volleyball has helped me realize my strengths and weaknesses, how competitive I really can be and given me the chance to meet new people and make new friends. While I love the sport of volleyball itself, I have found that in addition to the sport itself, I love the bonds created with teammates and how that can help all of you to go further than you thought you could.
I had the opportunity last year to be part of a school team that won our district championship and to be on a club team that went 124-20 and won 9 championships. As I move into high school play and begin thinking about my future, my goals are to help my high school team to be as successful as possible. I also intend to continue to compete in club volleyball and am hopeful that there will be additional successes there as well. My ultimate goal is to be offered a position on a college team and to contribute to their competitive success.
