This quote represents my personal feelings of the need for hard work, both on and off of the basketball court, in order to be successful. I strive to put forth my best effort in everything that I do, and pride myself on being someone that others look to as a leader. I hope to attend a university that supports my desires to surround myself with courses and activities that challenge me and allow for me to grow as a student and an athlete. Academics are incredibly important to me and that is reflected in both my G.P.A. and in letters from coaches that I have worked with in the past. I feel that one thing that separates me from other players is my ability to have a consistent understanding of court awareness. My teammates tend to look to me as a guide and they respect that this is a strength of mine. I am intentional about the importance of dedication to practice and about being coachable so that I can continue to develop as a player. When I am not on the court, I enjoy reading and spending time with family. I am very close with my grandfather and he has always supported me with sports and all of my activities. I view him as a role model because he is hard-working and wise but also exhibits kindness towards others. I find myself working diligently to continually develop these same character traits, and aspire to be someone that a coach desires to have as part of their team and organization
