Personal Statement
I love baseball. I've been playing for as long as I can remember. There was a time I was afraid I might not be able to keep doing what I loved. I injured my elbow and had to sit out for a period. This made me realize just how important baseball is to me and that I have to take care of myself. I began to pay more attention to my form and how I take care of my body. The last thing I wanted was to not be able to pitch and not be a contributing member of a team. I love the camaraderie of a team. I am a loyal and positive team member and am respectful and coachable. I believe these are some of my strongest assets.
I have been blessed with a strong body and intelligence. I have learned as I have matured and had experiences, that I cannot rely on these natural talents to take me where I want to go. I have to put in the work. I have high expectations for myself both athletically and academically and will work to achieve my dreams. I am looking for a program where I can excel in both these areas and be a part of something amazing.
