Volleyball has been a part of my life since I was 6 years old. Growing up in a volleyball town such as Louisville KY, its commonplace for kids to get started playing volleyball at a competitive level as early as the 1st grade. Volleyball has not only been a game I've grown to love, but one that has taught me many life skills along the way. One lesson, or message that has stuck with me is 'it's not how you start, it's how you finish'. My competitive edge and determination to outwork my peers are two qualities that have positioned myself to explore the opportunity to play collegiate volleyball.
In playing Libero/DS, I take pride in being a loud, energetic, and spirited leader on the court. I approach every play with the mentality that 'No ball hits the floor' and that it's my job to sacrifice my body to keep the ball alive. I'm a very coachable player who listens and accepts tough criticism. I look forward to practices and workouts as I know they are opportunities for me to get better on a daily basis and enjoy the camaraderie of my team. I'm confident in my ability to make an immediate impact at the collegiate level and look forward to getting to know the coaching staffs and learn more about their schools throughout the recruiting process.
